Meet Jack

Jack Fernandes is a native of San Diego, a dedicated public servant, successful entrepreneur, seasoned attorney, and passionate advocate for fiscal responsibility. With a strong background in law and finance, Jack is committed to serving the Oceanside community and is running for Oceanside Treasurer in 2024 to bring transparency, accountability, and strategic financial management to the city's finances.

Early Life and Education

Jack was born to an immigrant father and a mother with a neurodegenerative disease, pictured right. Jack grew up working local jobs, including stocking freezers and working as a deckhand. These experiences instilled in him a deep appreciation for the community and its values. Jack earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he graduated as a distinguished Tax Law Scholar and served as a senior editor on the law review. He is licensed as both an attorney and a real estate broker and passed both exams on his first attempt.

Jack's dedication to public service is reflected in his recent endorsement by County Tax Assessor Jordan Marks, whose office recognized Jack as a taxpayer advocate for veterans.
